The Rocks Gothic photo shoot

Chibi and I decided to do our next photo shoot a little different to the usual lakes and gardens. This time we went for a dark gothic style and we think there’s no better place than The Rocks in Sydney! Chibi in her gothic costume looked absolutely stunning! I also got to practice my post processing skills, desaturating colors and make it all look dark and gloomy.

I was originally planning to do this shoot late in the evening. However due to time constraints and it being on a sunday, we thought afternoon during the sunset period would be better. Interestingly enough, I thought the photo’s turned quite nice in the golden sun, but I would love to do another shoot at night with street lights! Now that would be fun =)

The shot above is my favourite shot. Great pose and amazing backdrop.

Overall I really like the results from this shoot even though it was a pretty rough day as we coincided with the Chinese New Year parade which caused traffic havoc. I was pretty tired after all the walking and driving but Chibi shouted me an awesome dinner at Grilled Burgers which more than made up for it!

Note to self: Only bring what’s necessary to avoid sore shoulders!
